Between 50 and 100 Gilets Jaunes demonstrate in Namur

by editorDecember 23, 2018
December 23, 2018
Between 50 and 100 Gilets Jaunes marched through Namur at around 1pm on Saturday.

They were escorted by plain clothes policemen and there were no incidents.

The small group of Namur Gilets Jaunes were also at the CBC bank in Albert 1 avenue on Friday evening. They were calling for a change in the Belgian bank and tax systems.

“It is time to act and make ourselves heard to move things along”, says one of the demonstrators. “We’re all struggling and it’s unbearable to be oppressed like this every day: we want to have a comfortable life again, more buying power and the system to be changed”.
