Brussels Airlines among most polluting airlines

Brussels Airlines is among the most polluting airlines in a ranking made by the German environmental association Atmosfair, De Standaard and Het Nieuwsblad reported Monday.
According to the NGO, the carrier does not use its devices efficiently, causing an increase in CO2 emissions.

The British TUI Airways planes are the most environment-friendly, inasmuch as it is possible for this type of mobility. Brussels Airlines, on the other hand, is at the bottom of the Atmosfair Airline Index (IAA), ranking 84 out of 125.

Atmosfair presented an environmental classification of all airline companies worldwide at the UN climate conference in Katowice (Poland) last weekend. The worst offenders are Latam Brazil and West Air China, which are placed next to last and last in the index.

The low-cost carriers generally hit good scores for they use every centimeter of space, might it be dedicated to cargo or passengers.
