Learners may now rent special cars to learn to drive

by editor
The “Conduct” start-up, launched by the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB), now enables applicants for driver’s licenses to rent cars specially designed for learning to drive.
The concept, which is new to Belgium, was introduced on Thursday in Mons.

The learner needs to be accompanied by a relative or friend who has had a driver’s license for at least eight years.

The “Conduct” initiative enables learners to rent the new cars, specially equipped with dual controls, additional rear-view mirrors, GPS and parking censors, for 15 euros an hour, including insurance and fuel.

The offer includes a tutorial accessible through an online platform that provides the learner with additional training. The platform includes information related to obtaining a drivers’ license, such as the traffic code, regional and legal regulations, and tips for the theory test.

The new cars can be rented throughout Belgium via www.conduct-belgium.be from 15 Peugeot dealers partnering the initiative.
