'Yellow Vests' demonstrations: Foreign Affairs advises Belgians to avoid Paris

by editor
Because of possible demonstrations by Yellow Vests on the weekend of 15-16 December in Paris, Belgium’s Foreign Ministry is advising travellers to postpone any visits to the French capital this weekend.
“The most important problems will probably be localised in Paris, but other cities could be affected,” the Foreign Ministry said in an advisory posted on its website. It called on Belgians to be careful about travelling to France, including the overseas departments and territories.

The French Government has not decided to ban the Yellow Vests’ demonstration, scheduled for Saturday, but called on them to be “reasonable” after the Strasbourg shooting and “not to demonstrate”, the spokesman of the French Government said on Thursday.
