Police conducted 36 criminal arrests, of which 11 were sent to the King’s Prosecutor. They also submitted 17 reports to the Foreign Office and conducted 29 administrative arrests for both public drunkenness and disorder.
In addition, 42 establishments were inspected, and 12 brothels were closed following Federal Judicial Police targeted operations, conducted in collaboration with Brussels’ local police.
The mayor’s office stressed that public safety and the fight against uncivil behaviour linked to prostitution and street deals constitute a “top priority” for the local police. Police presence has been amplified in response to such demands by the Alhambra neighbourhood committee.
