Late flights, both upon arrival and departure, caused the airport to lose a whole point, with its note going from 7.2/10 in last year’s report, to 6,2 in the latest one.

By contrast, Brussels Charleroi Airport sits at the 14th spot in the ranking, just behind international airports in Brazil and Spain, with airports in Norway and Japan following closely behind.
On-time performance makes up 60 per cent of the score, with service quality —such as customer service and waiting times— and food and shops in the terminal making up the rest of the score.
The top three spots were awarded to the Hamad, Tokyo and Athens international airports, with Lisbon’s Portela bringing up the rear in the 132nd spot.
