Emergency numbers currently unavailable in Brussels

by editor April 5, 2019
April 5, 2019
The telephone numbers of emergency 100 and 112 (rescue) and 101 (police) are, as of Friday afternoon, unreachable for many Belgian citizens.
The problem is linked to a widespread disturbance of the fixed network of the telecom operator Proximus, confirms the spokesperson for the company.

Shortly before 16:00 Friday, the company reported via its Facebook page of a “technical problem” making its call centres “difficult to access”.

Emergency services are looking into the possibility of bringing other numbers into service. If the life of a person is in danger, you can contact the emergency centres by sms via the 8112 (crisis center).
