The new ‘GOAT Urban Music Festival’, which was to take place in Bree on 8 and 9 June, touted a line-up of impressive names from the R & B and hip hop world, including Chris Brown, French Montana and Kodak Black.
The festival, however, might not exist.
For the time being, everything points in the direction of a scam, said Marleen Smeyers of the local police, according to Het Nieuwsblad.
The website has now been taken offline. We advise everyone who has already bought tickets to file a complaint with the local police and certainly not to buy tickets on second-hand sites, added Smeyers.

Additionally, it appears that the city of Bree was not aware of the festival. It is almost certainly a fake festival, and the police are starting an investigation into it, said Mayor Liesbeth Van der Auwera.
“Now that the news is known, we assume that there will still be complaints,” says Smeyers.
Tickets for the festival cost 69.95 euros for a day or 109.95 euros for a weekend. Those who are quick could order tickets this week at a special rate: 49.95 euro (day) or 69.95 euro (weekend).
