Leuven students allowed to skip classes to demonstrate at next climate demonstration

School principals in Leuven agreed that students could participate in a new demonstration for climate next Thursday, city mayor Mohamed Ridouani (sp.a) said on Sunday.
“The students have convinced their principals and teachers; it is their initiative,” Mr. Ridouani commented.

Anuna De Wever, one of the instigators of Belgium’s “Thursdays for Climate,” will also march in Leuven.

This will be the second gathering for climate in the Brabant city. Some 3,000 students, from 27 schools, had taken part in the first demonstration.
