New on the 1st of February: anti-smoking medication will be better reimbursed

by editor
Smokers will pay a lot less to test anti-smoking medication and they will have up to three courses of treatments every five years reimbursed from the 1st of February 2019.

Smokers will get a starter kit they have to test for two weeks before they are granted access to a complete course of anti-smoking medication. The kit sells at 49.95 euros. Up until now the patient had to pay for the whole thing themselves. From the 1st of February those under the preferential regime will only have to pay 9.80 euros and everyone else will pay 14.80 euros.

Smokers will also have up to three complete courses of treatment every five years reimbursed, compared to two treatments previously.
