Regional parks will be closed on Friday in Brussels

by editor
Regional parks in Brussels will be closed on Friday 15 March due to adverse weather conditions, Brussels Environment announced on Thursday in a press release.
They will reopen on Saturday morning if the weather conditions allow it, the public service said.

Friday is expected to be windy, while the ground will be waterlogged, according to the latest weather forecasts.

Parks in Brussels have already been closed on a number of occasions in recent days due to the heavy winds that have hit Belgium, uprooting many trees.

Last weekend, for example, a chestnut tree fell onto a children’s playground at the Josaphat Park in Schaerbeek.
