Schedule changes on some railway lines due to works

by editor
Works by Belgium’s railway infrastructure authority, Infrabel, along its railway network from the month of April will have an impact on train traffic and schedules, Infrabel and the national railway company, SNCB, said on Friday.
In Wallonia, the works will be done on lines 130 (Namur-Charleroi), 34 (Liège-Herstal-Lier), 132 (Charleroi-Couvin) and 167 (Arlon-Athus).

On the Charleroi – Namur line, a one-lane service will be established between Auvelais and Moustier from 8 April to 3 November, while the schedules of the S trains, along with those of some P and IC trains will be modified.

The line between Liège and Lier will be completely closed throughout the Easter holidays and for  the two summer months, both in 2019 and in 2020. Trains will therefore not circulate in the Liège city centre (Liège-Carré and Liège-Saint-Lambert stations). People travelling with the national railway company, SNCB, will be able to take buses from the TEC network.

On the Charleroi-Couvin route, Infrabel plans to cut off completely the section between Mariembourg and Couvin from 1st of Avril to 30 October. An alternative bus service is scheduled.

Finally, between Arlon and Athus, electrical work is programmed for 13 May to 17 June.
