Speed limit on the Antwerp ring road could drop to 80km/h

by editor March 28, 2019
March 28, 2019
The speed limit on the Antwerp Ring is expected to reduce to 80 kilometres per hour from 2025.
Currently – depending on location and time – you are still allowed to drive 100 or 90 kilometres per hour, but this is set to change, reports the Gazet van Antwerpen.

The Oosterweel Link – a long-running construction project intended to complete the Antwerp Ring Road – should be ready in 2025. Reducing the speed limit is one of the measures to improve the traffic situation on the northern ring road between Borgerhout and Ekeren.

The number of lanes would also be reduced.
