The Socialist Party wants free public transport in Brussels by 2024

Lofti Mostefa recently suggested that the STIB, Brussels public transport network, offers free transportation on Friday evenings and weekends.
His party now goes even further, with the ambition to turn the capital’s public transport free all week, by 2024.

Ridouance Chahid from the party, member of Brussels regional parliament and former vice-president of STIB, explains that during discussions, the idea of offering the elderly free transport was debated, but instead of adding excpetions, the party thought it better to simplify procedures and offer free public service to Brussels residents.
