Trains not stopping in Brussels station after bomb alert

by editor May 27, 2019

No trains are currently stopping in Brussels Gare du Nord following a bomb alert, national rail company SNCB announced.
At around 15:00 on Tuesday, the SCNB said on its Twitter account that no trains were going through or serving the station, located to the north of the city.

After advising travellers to follow the instructions of security personnel, the rail company said that trains could once again go through, but not stop at the station.

In replies, the SNCB said that the Midi and Central stations were not impacted.

En raison d’une alerte à la bombe les trains ne s’arrêtent pour l’instant pas en gare de Bruxelles-Nord. Veuillez suivre les ordres des autorités sur place. #SNCB pic.twitter.com/BmcddEtg2M

Today we had a community visit to this Brussels museum and learned about a period when people in some parts of Europe lived under constant feeling of surveillance and threats. It is a very interesting exhibition with lots of information, video stories and authentic objects that were used to spy on any citizen who looked "different" or suspicious. ⏩ At the end of the day, it also comes back to our modern times - do we also have some forms of…
