On Thursday, hundreds gathered in the Nusle district of Prague to commemorate Victory in Europe (VE) Day, participating in a grand reenactment of the 1945 Prague Uprising against Nazi occupation. This poignant event featured participants dressed in authentic period uniforms and wielding genuine weapons from the era, creating a vivid portrayal of the city’s historical struggle for liberation.
Recreating a pivotal moment in history
The reenactment attracted around 400 participants, who meticulously recreated the dramatic urban warfare scenes that characterized the final days of World War II in Prague.
