Tanaka’s remarkable journey to gold

Lara Cvjetko, a seasoned competitor from Croatia, was determined to convert her past silver medal experiences into gold. With renewed vigor and sharper skills, Cvjetko stepped onto the tatami ready to take on the formidable Tanaka, a world bronze medalist who had been steadily improving throughout the tournament. The final promised to be a showdown of skill and determination, with both judokas eager to claim their first World title.

The match proved to be a tense affair, culminating in a dramatic golden score where Tanaka secured victory with a decisive yuko. The medals were awarded by Mr. Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, who recognized the outstanding efforts of all competitors.

Murao’s dominant performance

Meanwhile, in the -90kg category, Sanshiro Murao displayed an impressive series of performances leading up to the gold medal match, achieving ippon in every bout and capturing the attention of the judo world.
