The British quality fast food chain Pret A Manger will soon arrive in Brussels

by editor February 7, 2019

Pret a Manger, the British quality fast food chain will arrive in Brussels, reported Belgian newspaper L’Echo.

The British bran (530 points of sale in 9 countries) will open in early August its first two shops in Brussels: at the Midi station opposite the Thalys and Eurostar terminals, and at level -1 of the central station, according to the information collected by L’Echo.

The maneuver is done by the British SSP, a group specializing in travel catering (airports, train stations). Active in seventeen countries, including Belgium, with more than 1,900 points of sale, it operates its own brands and holds the franchise (in some countries) of some big names like Burger King and Starbucks as well as local brands.

Pret A Manger was created in 1986 in the United Kingdom by Sinclair Beecham and Julian Metcalfe. Tired of swallowing every day an industrial food, they decided to launch a fast food shop but offer it fresh, healthy and balanced.

The profile of Pret A Manger is a bit like the Belgian Exki, the restaurant chain that will open in a few weeks in Cologne its hundredth restaurant.
