Iran criticizes Trump’s offensive remarks on social media threats

by editor

Iran’s diplomatic missions have launched a series of criticisms against U.S. President Donald Trump following his recent inflammatory remarks made on social media. The backlash comes after Trump issued a harsh warning, stating he would target Iranian civil infrastructure, including power plants and bridges, unless an agreement is reached to reopen a strategically important waterway.

In a provocative post on his platform Truth Social, Trump declared, “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!” This message has drawn a strong response from Iranian officials.

Embassies respond to Trump’s rhetoric

The Iranian Embassy in Thailand urged Trump to reconsider his choice of words, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic dialogue. Meanwhile, Tehran’s Embassy in Austria took a more colorful approach, stating,

“When you listen to him, close your eyes … you can almost see a Stone Age #caveman in a zebra hide, brandishing a club and treating savagery like everyday life.”

In addition, the Iranian Embassy in India criticized Trump’s language, remarking, “Swearing and throwing insults are how sore loser brats behave.” Tehran’s Embassy in Finland also commented on the situation, suggesting that Trump’s post revealed a lack of understanding regarding appropriate social media conduct.

Escalating tensions in the region

Various other social media accounts claiming to represent Iranian embassies worldwide joined the chorus of disapproval, although the authenticity of some accounts remains unverified. The ongoing tensions between Washington, Israel, and Iran have intensified in recent weeks, leading to targeted actions against Iranian leadership and significant damage to its military capabilities.

This conflict has had a profound impact on global energy markets, particularly due to Iran’s recent closure of key oil shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz. As the situation develops, there appears to be no clear resolution in sight, although Trump has hinted at the possibility of an impending deal with the Iranian government.
