Police investigation and search for suspect
According to local media, including Tagesspiegel, police have cordoned off the area surrounding the memorial and are actively conducting searches for evidence. Authorities are in pursuit of the suspect, identified as another male, who is believed to have fled the scene while still in possession of the weapon.
The victim has been transported to a nearby hospital, and while his injuries are serious, they are not considered life-threatening. The relationship between the victim and the assailant remains unclear, as police have not yet established whether they were acquainted.
