“On 24 October, Asterix and Obelix will be back for a new adventure that will be called ‘The daughter of Vercingetorix’”, Albert-René Publishing (Hachette Group) announced at a press conference in Parc Asterix, north of Paris.
The release of a new Asterix – a new title every two years – is still a phenomenon in the publishing world. No other book has such a large circulation in the Francophone world.
The 38th volume of the adventures of the famous Gallic heroes imagined 60 years ago by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, will benefit from an exceptional circulation of over 5 million copies.
Over 600,000 copies of the Asterix adventures are sold each year in France.
Since its creation in 1959, 380 million albums have been sold worldwide and translated into more than a hundred languages.
