Taxibus for disabled extended to Sundays and bank holidays

by editor December 18, 2018
December 18, 2018
The Board of Directors for STIB has approved the extension of the Taxibus, an on-demand transport service adapted for those with reduced mobility, to Sundays and public holidays.
On Tuesday, the Brussels Minister for Mobility, Pascal Smet (Alternative Socialists) indicated the introduction of the extended service. The minister stresses, in recent years, the demand for the service has increased, which is why a 50% increase in investment in the service has been agreed.

Mr Smet is delighted saying, “Mobility is a fundamental right for everyone. Thanks to the Taxibus service, mobility for the disabled is now guaranteed. Until recently, the service was only available during the week (Monday to Friday) and Saturday, but owing to the additional investment, it will now also operate on Sundays and bank holidays.”
