More snow expected during the week

by editor January 28, 2019
January 28, 2019
Weather will vary Monday. First rain in Basse Belgique, rain or slush in Moyenne Belgique, and snow south of the Sambre-et-Meuse.
During the day, precipitation will be mostly rain with some blue skies, according to MRI forecasts. On the Hautes Fagnes, an additional 10 cm of snow is possible. The thermometer will show between 0 and 6 degrees, with a moderate to strong wind. During rainfalls, gusts of 65 km/h are expected.

Tonight, snowfalls are possible in the east, followed by periodic clear skies in the west and centre. South of the Sambre-et-Meuse, low clouds will persist, and may reduce visibility locally. Frost throughout, with temperatures between -2 degrees to the west and -5 or less on the snowy Ardennes. The wind, moderate at first, will shift from NW to SW, and will weaken, especially along the French border.

On Tuesday, the weather will be drier, but possible snow at night.
