“I think it’s really important to give our city more accessibility for its inhabitants, for the many tourists and for everybody working in the city,” said Anseeuw.
The shared e-scooter is considered an ideal means of transport for short distances. “It’s such an easy system”, Anseeuw said. “You don’t have to worry about anything and you can leave the scooters behind wherever you please.”
All scooters will be collected and charged at night so they can be used again the next morning. Users of the scooters can find, unlock and pay a nearby scooter through an app.
“We’re fully focusing on shared mobility and we want to provide shared e-scooters all over the city, said Anseeuw. “We want to be a trendsetter in the province of West Flanders. Shared mobility will become more and more important in the future, besides, those scooters are just fun,” he added.
