The police fined about 100 drivers on Wednesday morning because they took photos and/or videos from behind the wheel of an accident with a tipped over truck on the E40 in Wetteren.
The drivers caught filming or taking pictures behind the wheel were fined 116 euros.
The truck tipped over around 7:15 AM on Wednesday morning just past the Shell gas station in Wetteren, blocking all three lanes as well as the entry lane. Presumably, the driver had to make way for a car or truck that was entering the motorway. There are no other vehicles involved in the crash and there were no injuries, according to Belgian media.

The motorway was blocked for about five hours after the accident around 7:15 AM, but has since been completely cleared.
