Belgium (men) beat Iceland 90-62 during its fourth and final group match in Mons Arena on Sunday.
This means they have pre-qualified for the Euro 2021 Basketball tournament.
Dario Gjergj’s men had already secured their place in the qualifying round. The Belgian Lions won their first three matches (Belgium-Portugal 66-65, Iceland-Belgium 66-79, Portugal-Belgium 60-70) and will play in the qualifiers in November.
The Belgium national team’s goal for the campaign was being in the Euro for the fifth time in 2021. This has also been the Ostende coach’s goal since December 2011.
