The sp.a wants free GP consultations

by editor
Everyone should be able to see their GP for free, according to Flemish socialists in the sp.a.
They adopted a proposed law to enable this at their Antwerp congress on Saturday. The sp.a says it would cost around 100 million euros to put this in place.

The party submitted a definitive form of its manifesto for the next regional, federal and European elections on Saturday. One of the propositions is to scrap fees for GP appointments.

The sp.a also wants to abolish fees for an annual check-up and preventative treatment at the dentist, which those under 18 already get for free.
